Mindy, I’ve tearfully read through this well written and succinct account of what we can only imagine has seemed like an eternal ‘trail of tears’. How this heart goes out to you and Nat and all the family, lifting you all before our loving Father, Who alone can touch your souls with His embrace. May peace abound and Heaven become your sweetest reality and true hope. You all are loved in Jesus’ name!
Job did not suffer because of anything he did, nor was it to teach him a lesson! Praying for you, I know what its like to have your world turned upside down! I've carried these verses in my pocket for the last two years. may they encourage you. "For no one is cast off by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone." Lamentations 3:31-33. Praying for you! We prayed for you this evening at our Trinity Zoom prayer group that meets on Thursday evening.- Dale S.
Mindy, you are one of the bravest and gifted journalists I have ever met. You’ve continually encouraged me through your writings to look beyond my American comfort and consider those suffering in their tragedies. To share such personal broken-heartedness with grace positions my heart before the Father to throw your cares at his feet. You have helped me to consider life differently and I’m changed because of your sacrifice. It’s my turn to humbly give back. Prayers flying.
Mindy, I'm not sure how you wrote this. I was in tears just reading it. This is a beautifully written lament, but one undergirded by hope, faith, and love. Praying for peace, strength, and comfort for Nat, you, and your family.
Thank you, Mindy, for sharing this with us. It must have been so difficult to write. However, it so compellingly conveys what you are going through. You are blessing others, including me, as you share your painful journey. Praying for comfort and peace for Nat and for all of you. May the Lord bless you.
Dear Mindy, Thank you for sharing so personally and honestly. My eyes filled with tears as I read. I pray to the Lord of all life that you will know His presences as you walk together as a family. My God give Nat know a respite from some of his pain and healing if it be the Father's will.
Mindy this is Mary in Johnson City. My heart breaks for you although I know God has Nat in his care. I am sorry that you also lost your Mom to cancer. I am putting you I and your family in my prayers. I love you and hope someday we can visit. Know that I am here if I can do anything. 423-929-7573
May the sweetness of His presence fill your hearts as well as all those around you. I have begun tearfully praying for comfort and that our Savior be magnified through suffering. Having become recently widowed, I attest to over-abounding grace in the midst of tears Imagine Heaven and Imagine Heaven Devotional by John and Kathy Burke were gifted to me and made heaven come alive. May you, Nat, your children and grandchildren find rest in God's loving embrace.
I’ll join you in prayer, Mindy. Your writing has impacted me deeply for many years. May the Lord God be very near to you, Nat, your children, and the many who love you all as you walk through this season.
