Organizations working inside Ukraine and with refugees in border countries
(UPDATE: April 1) The UN reports more than 4 million Ukrainians have fled their country as of March 30. An additional 6.4 million Ukrainians are displaced within the country. The world body also confirmed 1,189 killed and 1,901 injured in the 5-week war. Of those, 99 children have been killed and 126 injured. The human toll, together with Russian attacks on healthcare facilities and infrastructure, leaves millions dependent on outside aid.
Below are organizations providing such services in Ukraine and bordering countries. This is a verified but not exhaustive list:
Baptist World Alliance is working with Baptist leaders in Ukraine and Eastern Europe to provide humanitarian aid. “At present, across Ukraine and the surrounding countries, Baptists are providing 51,000 beds per night,” said General Secretary and CEO Elijah Brown.
